Hello from Aquacopia, the water system for Horse Country. You are receiving this because you have already registered through the Aquacopiainc.com website or have been added by Max Weicheld the new owner as of June 3rd 2025.
The purpose of this note serves as an introduction, an initial test to see how many of you open and read the notification as well as checking if I have valid email addresses for everyone who wish to be informed of outages and other Aquacopia related news.
This is currently a one way communication channel for now. I plan to enable more capabilities like surveys and other hopefully useful communications to help keep you informed and engaged.
Please be aware water conservation is in effect for the summer months.
What does this mean?: If your home address end in and Even number you may water on even calendar days and for us odd folks we can water on odd calendar days. 🙂
Our contractor was not able to perform the repair today, due to an odd sized pipe crossing 197th. They are going to patch the leak tomorrow morning 6/11 with hopefully minimal disruption to the system.
We’re planning a larger outage at a later date this summer to properly fix the crossing permanently, preventing future leaks in this area. More to come on this. Large dump trucks with heavy loads or pulling large equipment are the primary reason for this problem.
We also had a leak at the end of 80th fixed. We had to turn off water on 80th and East of 80th to complete the repair. I did not have time to give proper notice and will do my best to provide 24 to 48 hour notice when possible.
The Aquacopia blog allows delivery of notifications quickly and efficiently. Please encourage your Aquacopia neighbors to sign up for notifications.
we have a reoccurring leak at 76th and 197th. Working on getting some help to fix it right. We will require an outage south of 78th once we understand what it’s going to take to fix it.
Updates:
A crew will be in the neighborhood this morning 6/10 approximately 9:00 AM, expect delays getting past the work location throughout the day.
Water disruptions will happen between 11:00 and 4:00 PM West of 178th Ave.
Aquacopia customers, as you know we have been without power since Tuesday evening. We have had minor disruptions in water service as the empty gas tanks needed changing.
Today is Thursday Nov 21, PUD crews are in the neighborhood with an estimated time of services being restored around Noon PST.
A significant leak has been reported and confirmed on 78th between 197th and 196th streets. Work to begin on July 3rd, houses north 196th will experience a temporary outage of 1-2 hours while repair takes place.
Please make efforts to reduce water consumption
Updates will be made available here, once an outage time is determined.
